Crumbs Bakery - Bryant Park, NY

Wow, I'm so glad I decided to check out Crumbs Bakery, because the mere size of their jumbo cupcakes is enough to fill you right up! Forget dinner! Anyone who knows me knows I've been obsessed with cupcakes but more specifically red velvet. So as soon as I saw that there was ONE left on the tray, I immediately needed to order it! However, I also had three girls ahead of me and to my utter dismay but not surprised, the first girl took it.

Le Sigh. Figuring that they took the tray away and it was late in the day that there wouldn't be anymore made, I opted for Tiramisu flavor. It was quite tasty, but I couldn't help but still think of that red velvet cupcake so close within my grasp - haha.

Anywho I could only finish 3/4 of my cupcake which I believe is no easy feat - haha. It was delicious and as I got up to throw my trash away, I noticed that they filled the red velvet cupcake tray! I immediately headed over to the counter and ordered two! Hey, it'd be a great snack for the drive home. ;)

Overall, a major plus in my book. I can't wait to go back and grab another. I'd say it's better than Magnolias but I haven't decided if it's better than Georgetown cupcakes. I believe another taste-testing is in order in near future, perhaps? Whole-heartedly Agree.=P Continue Reading...

Pomme Frites - East Village, NY

I heard about Pomme Frites two months ago and finally got around to trying it out last month. The place is not that big but there was a line by the time we got there. If you love huge belgian fries, then this is the spot for you, especially with a plethora of dipping sauces for your choosing, namely the mango chutney sauce and curry ketchup - YUM.

The Spot - East Village, NY

Just around the corner of Ippudo right in the heart of St. Marks, you can find this little dessert place perfect on a hot summer day. There's a variety of dessert choices on the menu for just about everyone and not to mention dee-licious.
